Duane & A.Kimberly Starks
Duane L. Starks is a former NFL player and Superbowl XXXV Champion with The Baltimore Ravens. Duane was the 10th Pick in the 1998 NFL Draft and had an NFL career that spanned 10 years. After departing the Ravens team, Duane played with Arizona, New England and retired with Oakland Raiders. He earned his AA degree from Holmes Community College in Mississippi. Duane graduated from the University of Miami and obtained an MBA degree from The George Washington University.
Founder of The Starks Charitable Foundation a non-profit organization founded in 1998 where he hosted the “Make It Hot” celebrity Weekend to raise funds for the “Quest For Success” scholarship fund. Since 1998, Mr. Starks’ foundation has given over 100 scholarships to well deserving highschool students who were economically challenged. Duane has been a pillar in the Overtown community as a role model for the youth and have been implanted in the community with the honor of having a football field named after him as the “Duane Starks Field of Dreams” which is located at Gibson Park, in Overtown, where he was raised.
Alongside running his business, he also served as a Sports Analyst for the Baltimore Ravens Pre/Post Game show on NBC Comcast Sportsnet in Bethesda, MD. Duane was also a Radio Co-Host for Miami WQAM, the flagship station for the University of Miami. He currently serves as the Director of Player Career Development for RSR Sports Agency, as well as Trust Captain for The Trust, Powered by the NFLPA.
A. Kimberly Starks was born in Kingston Jamaica. Her family migrated to the U.S. during her formative years in hopes of creating a better life and attaining the “ American Dream”. A. Kimberly Starks graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications and English. She received her M.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University. Kimberly worked as an Account Executive at Continental Farms, and then furthered her career at The Miami Herald Publishing Company and Bare Escentuals where she served in Sales and Marketing capacities. Kimberly Starks is a Licensed Realtor and currently practices Real Estate in the S. Fl market. Kimberly is also YCADA Certified and volunteers with the Weston Warriors Cheer Team. She serves on the Board of the Duane Starks Foundation and is the Co-Founder of Star Life Prep.
